Quarantine Information

Chinese officials in the United States have since announced that they reserve the right to refuse entry or to quarantine, upon arrival in China, any individual who is suspected of being infected or has traveled to Mexico, Spain, USA, or Canada since April 20th. Chinese authorities in the U.S. have not indicated that they will suspend the issuance of visas altogether.

The Consulate of the People’s Republic of China in San Francisco is the only consulate at this time to include a form acknowledging possible quarantine. This form is required for same-day and rush processing. It is not required for standard processing. Click here for this form if you are a resident of the following states:

  • San Francisco Jurisdiction: Alaska, Northern California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington.
Any visa service claiming to be able to process a Chinese visa without the declaration form is acting outside of these new rules and could compromise your entry into China.
